What were you doing before joining MA?
I worked as a supervisor at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Santa Monica and attended school to be an Aircraft Mechanic before joining MA in 2005.
Why did you decide to join MA?
I decided to join MA because I saw an opportunity for me to strive and make a difference within the company. I already had a love for aircrafts, but being able to service them and communicate with maintenance and flight crew was a plus.
What are you working on now?
I currently manage three airlines in a combined unit that we call N2 (VX-Virgin America, NK-Spirit Airlines and B6-Jet Blue). Our product never changes and consistency is the key that will unlock a world of doors for us. My goal is to see these doors open and pass my knowledge down to someone that will follow my footsteps.
What has been most rewarding about your MA experience?
The most rewarding part about my MA experience is seeing the smiles on my employees after a job well done. Absorbing knowledge from managers like myself and those that manage on a much higher level (ex. GM`s & VP`s) are rewarding as well. I have been fortunate enough to climb up the Menzies ladder and witness its growth. I went from ramp agent in 2005 to Operations Manager in 2011. I am walking proof that hard work pays off. I must commend my managers for their support throughout the years and allowing me to make my mark in this business. I am proud to be a MA leader and will continue to push others to strive and climb the ladder.
